Seaman Holman was an Able Seaman on the RMS Titanic.
Appearance[]
Holman was 5′ 9″ (1.74 m) tall, white male. During his appearances on the show, he wore a cap and blue seaman suit.
Biography[]
His date of birth was given as 1853.
During Episode 1, he could be seen helping passengers into the lifeboats with the other seamen.
Later on A-deck, he and Seaman Clench are seen during the lowering of Lifeboat #15 when the Maloney family (minus Jim and Theresa) and Steward Hart are let into the boat.
Both he and Clench don't make it to the lifeboats. They are last seen alive with Seaman Bradley trying to upturn Collapsible B before being swept away when the Boat Deck dives underwater and drowns during the sinking.
Historical counterpart[]
He was likely loosely based on the real Harry Holman, an actual Able Bodied Seaman on the real ship, but he was 30 years younger than this character, as Holman was born in 1883.
Notes[]
- Holman has no line in the script.
